EVERGLOOM

Sorrow-Bound of Dhuma
Evergloom

Everglooms are Dimmed demons of Dhuma, formed when a demon collapses inward beneath the weight of sorrow, dread, and emotional imbalance. Unlike more openly predatory Dimmed, their danger lies not in brute force but in the steady unraveling of perception, certainty, and self.

They retain a humanoid form that appears disturbingly intact at first glance, though the flesh tells another story. Their skin is chalk-white and dry, marked by fine surface splitting and slight flaking like old ash. Rust-dark staining settles around the eyes and mouth, as if grief itself has seeped outward through the body.

Everglooms do not rush. They fix their attention on a target and begin to press at the mind, deepening fear, isolation, and despair until the victim can no longer trust what is real. What they project does not feel like an outside voice at first. It feels personal. Familiar. True.

By the time their prey understands the intrusion is not their own thought, the damage is often already done. Everglooms hunt by making the living surrender to hopelessness before the body is ever touched.
