Mal’tharac are corpse-borne abominations formed within the Pit of Zoah when incubus-spawn essence enters the dead and forces the body back into motion. Though human-like in shape, they are marked by reflective eyes filled with mercurial venom, long black claws, and the stillness of something that no longer belongs among the living. They hunt through scent, heat, and vibration rather than sight, moving with eerie patience until prey draws near.
Their bite delivers a lethal venom meant to kill, not turn. Most victims simply die and become food. But under the will of a master, Mal’tharac can be forced to seed their essence into the dead and expand the horde. They often appear in ordinary clothing or the remnants of what the corpse last wore, making them all the more disturbing at first glance. What passes through their veins is not blood, but a metallic silver venom that sustains the parasite within.

Corpse-borne abominations formed within the Pit when incubus-spawn essence invades the dead and forces the body to rise again.
Zoah — The Pit
Incubus-spawn parasitic entities that animate dead hosts, sustained by venom rather than blood.
- Dark liquid mirror eyes formed from venom within the eye cavity
- Very faint metallic silver venom veins beneath the skin
- Long black nails resembling claws
- Human or demon corpse hosts wearing ordinary or tattered clothing
- When wounded, metallic silver venom flows instead of blood
Mal’tharac stalk prey with unnatural patience, moving slowly and silently before attacking with sudden feral speed. Though they retain no memories of their host, they possess predatory intelligence and operate with pack coordination, often appearing in hordes of roughly twenty creatures.
- Track prey through scent, heat, and vibration rather than sight
- Lethal venom delivered through bite
- Pack awareness through chemical pheromones
- Explosive bursts of speed during attack
Destruction of the brain, beheading, or burning with Pit-fire.
Extreme when encountered in a horde.
