THE GREAT REBELLION

The fall of angels and the casting out of the disobedient.

The Angels were created with service written into their blood, charged to guard mankind and carry out the will of the Creator.

But when mankind fell and the Curse entered creation, Angelkind was altered as well. Their bond to those they served became burdened by emotion too vast to contain, and what had once been part of their design became a source of instability.

In time, many Angels turned from feeling altogether. They severed themselves from emotion in order to continue in service, becoming detached from part of what had once made them whole.

This imbalance did not remain hidden. It deepened across Heaven until fracture gave way to rebellion.

The Great Rebellion marked the uprising of those who turned against divine order. When it ended, many were cast from Heaven, stripped of their place and purpose. They became the Fallen.

From them, new divisions emerged. Some embraced the Curse and became Shadows. Others resisted it and became Watchers, waiting in hope for the promised Savior. And from those who retained only the last forms they had worn came the first Shifters.

Thus the Rebellion did not end with expulsion alone. It reshaped bloodlines, allegiances, and the course of all that followed.

ARCHIVAL NOTE: The Great Rebellion is preserved as the defining rupture in Heaven’s history, marking the Fall of Angels and the beginning of the divisions now known among the Fallen.
