RECORD SUMMARY

Alithea refers to herself as the Queen of Shadows. The title is self-assigned, though I'm certain she repeated it enough that creatures now accept it as fact. Surviving archive material places her presence on Earth long before most organized records began, which unfortunately makes verifying the full scope of her activity difficult.

Some of the earliest accounts come from tribes living near Devil’s Mountain. They called her Kawili Assa, meaning Shadow Woman, and reportedly left offerings for her and the creatures that followed her. According to the fragments that survived, she allowed those people to live in peace. I suspect that had more to do with convenience than mercy.

Records indicate that before surrendering to the curse, Alithea once possessed the Divine Gift of Sight. How that ability became what she is now remains partially sealed within archive material marked .

What can be confirmed is that her power grew through the consumption of shadow souls. The more she absorbed, the more the curse took hold of her. Whatever she was before that point is no longer relevant. What exists now is something else entirely.

She commanded a group known as the Ashen. Multiple incidents across several regions have been tied to their activity, though a number of those records remain restricted. Several deaths, disappearances, and conflict reports continue to reference her involvement, including material currently sealed under archive designation .

I have encountered Alithea personally. The official record states that I was held within a Shadow structure for a period of time before extraction. The unofficial version is that she enjoys watching people suffer and considers it entertainment.

For the sake of objectivity I will say this: Alithea was intelligent, patient, and extremely dangerous. I'm glad that she's gone. If she reappears, things will get worse.
