CALYTH
Calyth Bloom is a resilient orchid species native to Zoah, recognized by its ember-toned petals and its ability to take hold in narrow rock crevices and exposed highland surfaces. It appears in small clusters across the realm’s elevated terrain, often where little else can root.
Though delicate in structure, Calyth Bloom is not fragile. It thrives in mineral-rich stone and shifting elevation, its presence marking pockets of retained moisture and stable ground within Zoah’s harsher landscapes.
FIELD RECORD
Native orchid species of Zoah.
Zoah
Flora
- Petals in ember tones of orange, rust, and deep crimson
- Compact bloom structure with waxy, resilient texture
- Roots anchored into rock crevices and mineral surfaces
- Often found in small clustered growths
- Low profile, wind-resistant form
Calyth Bloom grows directly from rock surfaces, cliff faces, and shallow mineral pockets, favoring areas where moisture is briefly retained.
Primarily observed and occasionally collected for trade due to its rarity and resilience. It holds more value as a marker of stable terrain than as a harvested resource.
Not widely harvested. When collected, it is taken sparingly from mature clusters to avoid disrupting growth zones.
Cliff faces, rock crevices, highland ridges, and exposed mountain terrain throughout Zoah.
ARCHIVAL NOTE
Calyth Bloom is rarely seen in abundance. It appears where conditions briefly align—where stone holds just enough moisture, and exposure has not fully stripped the surface bare.
Its color draws the eye against otherwise muted terrain, but it does not signal safety. In Zoah, even the most vivid growth is shaped by survival, not comfort.
