KAZHRAN

Resin Bloom
Kazhran

Kazhran is one of Loka’s most recognizable blooms, growing in calm clusters along shallow canals, island edges, and the slower currents between the Lokanian Isles. Its lotus-like form rises from still water or soft channel beds, bringing quiet color and structure to the Realm of Desire without disturbing the balance of the waterways that sustain it.

Its petals shift from deep rose at the outer edges to warm gold near the center, where a dense core forms the resin for which the bloom is known. This resin gathers slowly, thick and amber-toned, carrying both fragrance and value. Kazhran exists as both beauty and resource—never excessive, always in rhythm with the water and light that shape Loka.

GROWTH HABIT

Kazhran grows in still or slow-moving water, forming clustered blooms that follow the natural curves of Loka’s canals, island edges, and shallow channel systems.

COMMON USES

Its resin is harvested and refined into Kazhra, a distilled spirit known as “Desired Flame,” as well as oils and fragrant extracts used across Loka and beyond.

HARVEST / SEASON

Resin is gathered during peak bloom cycles, when the central core is fully formed and carries the highest concentration of usable extract.

ENCOUNTER ZONES

Commonly found along shallow canals, island waterways, and calm channel edges throughout Loka, especially where water slows between the isles.

ARCHIVAL NOTE

Among Loka’s water-grown flora, Kazhran stands as one of the clearest reflections of the realm’s balance between beauty and purpose. It is not cultivated for ornament alone, nor harvested without restraint. Its presence is guided by the natural rhythm of the waterways, allowed to gather where the current softens and the realm makes space for it.

The resin drawn from its center carries both cultural and economic value, yet the bloom itself remains untouched in many channels, left to grow freely where water and light meet. In Loka, desire is not defined by taking all that is offered, but by knowing what must remain.
