Kharvak are high-altitude grazing animals native to the terraced slopes and mountain fields of Zoah. They move in herd formations across steep terrain, feeding on hardy growth and cultivated edges where thinner air, cold wind, and exposed stone limit less-adapted species.
Though calm in nature, Kharvak are central to Zoah’s survival system. They provide meat, hide, bone, and highly valued fine wool used for clothing, weaving, and trade. Their presence is closely tied to daily life in the highlands, where endurance and practical use define the relationship between realm and creature.
FIELD RECORD
Highland grazing species adapted to steep mountain terraces, thin air, and cold exposed terrain.
Zoah
Herd-based grazer and primary livestock species supporting food, textile, and trade systems within Zoah.
- Lean, long-legged highland build
- Short twisted horns arcing backward from the skull
- Narrow face with alert expression
- Fine dense wool lying close to the body
- Wind-shaped coat in muted earth and cream tones
Stone terraces, mountain pastures, cultivated slopes, and managed grazing grounds throughout Zoah’s highland regions.
Kharvak move in organized herds and remain highly aware of elevation changes, weather shifts, and nearby threats. One or more adults often remain watchful while the rest of the herd feeds.
- Sure-footed movement across steep stone terrain
- High endurance in thin-air environments
- Cold-resistant fine wool growth
- Efficient grazing on sparse highland vegetation
Active throughout Zoah’s cycles, with heaviest grazing occurring during calmer light and weather conditions across the terraces.
Kharvak are one of Zoah’s most important managed fauna species. They are used for food and resource production, with their wool considered especially valuable for durable garments, weaving, and inter-realm trade.
