VALEKAR
Valekar are large aquatic serpents native to the waterways of Tehom, most often found in rivers, irrigation channels, and deeper basin edges where currents slow and visibility drops. They move silently beneath the surface, their presence rarely detected until disturbed.
Their bodies are long and muscular, built for fluid movement through water and sudden bursts of speed when striking. Valekar are solitary hunters, feeding on fish and smaller creatures within the water system, and are generally avoided by those who travel or work near Tehom’s waterways.
FIELD RECORD
Large aquatic serpent native to Tehom.
Tehom
Solitary water predator adapted for silent movement and sudden strikes within rivers and basin systems.
- Long, muscular serpent-like body
- Smooth, water-adapted scales
- Low-visibility movement beneath the surface
- Strong jaw and constricting body strength
- Minimal surface disturbance when moving
Most commonly found in rivers, irrigation channels, and basin edges throughout Tehom, particularly in deeper or slower-moving waters where visibility is limited.
Valekar are patient, solitary hunters that remain submerged for extended periods. They rely on stillness and timing, striking quickly when prey enters range.
- Silent underwater movement
- Rapid strike from submerged position
- Strong constriction and bite force
- Adaptation to low-visibility environments
Active throughout the day and night, with increased movement during low-light conditions and in areas where prey activity is concentrated.
Valekar are generally avoided by workers and travelers near water systems. Their presence is often inferred by absence of smaller fauna or disturbances along water edges.
